FAO SCHWARZ FELLOWSHIP: Seven new Fellowships for 2023-2025. Join us for the Dec 6 Info Session.

The FAO Schwarz Fellowship program offers college seniors interested in social impact careers paid positions at leading nonprofit organizations. The Fellows gain valuable experience both in direct service and strategic initiatives, acquire leadership and professional skills, and develop their ability to create social change.

The Barnes Foundation (Philadelphia), the Museum of Science (Boston), and the Whitney Museum (New York) will each host one new Fellow. Jumpstart and Year Up will host two Fellows each—one in New York and one in Boston.

The Barnes Foundation
The Fellow will engage with underserved and under-resourced communities through programming for their direct service work and, in collaboration with Barnes staff, will take a leadership role in developing future museum programming tailored to upcoming special exhibitions for their special project work.

Jumpstart
The Jumpstart FAO Schwarz Fellows will strengthen and expand Jumpstart’s direct service programming through their traditional classroom model and community events, and engage in policy advocacy initiatives for their special project work.

The Museum of Science
The FAO Schwarz Fellow will focus on the Museum’s school programs and school partnerships for their direct service work and create new programming to engage teens with STEM careers and professionals.

The Whitney Museum
The FAO Schwarz Fellow will lead educational programs for visitors for their direct service work and expand the Museum’s understanding and implementation of best accessibility practices as well as create inclusive lesson plans for their special project work.

Year Up (Boston)
The Boston Fellow will mentor students in the program, creating a positive educational environment for their direct service, and focus on marketing operations and systems enablement in direct support of Year Up’s prospective student experience for their special project work.

Year Up (New York City)
The New York Fellow will mentor students in the program, creating a positive educational environment for their direct service, and support long-term recruitment and retention strategies and alumni engagement for their special project work.
