APPLICATIONS OPEN for the FAA Minority Serving Institutions Internship

The Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) Internship Program is open to all eligible undergraduates and graduate college students attending an accredited college or university. Through this paid internship, students are provided an opportunity to capitalize on their academic studies and gain meaningful work experience with the FAA. 

Eligibility 

  • U.S. Citizenship 
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited institution 
  • Be in good academic standing  
  • Completed one year of college credits 

Program Structure 

  • Begins in May, with option to return every year  
  • Upon successful completion of the program, interns may be non-competitively converted to a full-time position. 
  • In-person and Virtual opportunities  
  • Structured 10-week summer session with cohort projects  
  • Capstone week in Washington D.C. at the end of every Summer  

Benefits and Compensation 

Students are provided an opportunity to capitalize on their academic studies and gain meaningful work experience and developmental activities. Additionally, students gain professional knowledge, expertise, and practical experience to chart their own career paths and make informed career choices. Students may earn academic credit for their internship.
