$2,400 Benefit for Veterans

Veterans hired by DHS who are eligible for veteran’s education benefits may receive up to $2,400 per month in tax-free benefits in addition to their normal salaries through the GI Bill On-the-Job Training (OJT) Program. Eligible veterans can receive these benefits as income supplements for up to 24 months for entry-level positions. Veterans hired with the last 12 months may be eligible to receive back-pay from the program.
