Bryant Park Corporation and 34th Street Partnership are currently in search of a dynamic, digitally savvy, and hyper-organized intern to join our Digital Media and Partnerships team. As two distinguished not-for-profit business improvement districts, our shared mission revolves around curating unforgettable events and programs that bring our New York City community together. Help us capture, strategize, and execute social content for our various platforms, while also building partner relationships to continue growing our world-renowned public spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Digital Media
- Daily content capture to support day-to-day social media efforts, including real-time requests from staff
- Assist in planning and scheduling social media posts using a content calendar
- Assist in page optimization and research for Bryant Park and 34th Street including trending hashtags, sounds, topics, and AI platforms
- Collaborate in weekly brainstorms to create meaningful and engaging social media campaigns
- Execute live video and/or moderate audience interaction during performance livestreams
- Assist in producing video for social platforms
- Compile social and digital data into regular reports for improvements and optimization
- Assist with professional photography, video shoots, and asset management
- Comfortable with non-traditional hours including early morning, late night, and/or weekend hours
Partnerships
- Contribute to a variety of company-wide initiatives for partnerships team including surveys, info gathering, and research projects
- Assist in drafting sponsorship proposals and presentations
- Conduct research to identify potential sponsors that align with the organization’s goals, values, and target audiences
- Support the coordination and execution of sponsorship activation plans, often during non-traditional hours for onsite load-in/load-out
Basic Qualifications
- Recent college graduate or rising senior in college with a degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business, and/or related fields
- Proficient in capturing photos/videos with an iPhone
- Strong editorial judgement, passion for digital storytelling and trends, excellent writing skills, and attention to detail
- Savvy user of essential social media platforms (Instagram, X (formally known as Twitter), Threads, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok)
- Creative mindset to develop innovative and engaging content ideas that resonate with our target audience
- Basic knowledge of video editing tools like CapCut and Premiere Pro to create visually appealing and engaging content
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Proactive, team player with strong interpersonal skills, equally effective working independently and with groups
- Passion for working with social media presences and an interest in the latest digital trends
- Excellent organizational skills
- Must be amenable to working outdoors, interacting with park staff, PR reps, and other outside entities.
- Experience leading live video executions on social a plus
- Experience and training in photography and videography a plus
- MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop a plus
