Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst Intern
Internship Details: Participating interns must have the ability to work full-time from the dates of June 3, 2024 to August 16, 2024. During the 10-week internship program, the expected flexible work schedule will model our current hybrid plan where interns will work remotely on Fridays, and in EarthLink’s office on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The starting pay is $20/hr, based on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary: The Business Intelligence Analyst Intern, develops and implements a process to identify the intelligence needs of the business; gathers the related information; analyzes the relevant information; provides timely reports to be acted upon based on the analyses; and implements the recommendations of intelligence reporting and management. They also will create dashboards and databases that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of BI data. Working with data will be a key part of your internship. Knowing how to manage data using common data tools such as Excel and SQL are essential.

- Researches and analyzes areas of interest to the company which will allow the company to gain a competitive advantage.
- Monitors fields of interest to the company, such as legal frameworks.
- Monitors internal and external environments for development of new business processes.
- Performs market research and analysis.
- Gathers information for project-related research; analyzes that information; and produces reports based on the analyses.
- Participates in management meetings related to intelligence reporting.
- Implement the recommendations of intelligence reporting and management.
- Prioritizes, plans, and tracks project progress.
- Provides status reporting to the Sr. Director of Business Intelligence or the COO as required.
- Provides related intelligence reporting to the company.
- Maintain communications with direct contacts used for ongoing monitoring of the external environment and project-related research.
- Maintain an advanced knowledge of trends affecting the industry in all relevant areas including political and legal.

- Able to effectively manage and prioritize different workstreams
- General interest in analytics and business/entrepreneurship
- Hands-on experience with data profiling, visualization/reporting, and query tools such as: Tableau, SAP Business Objects, MS SSAS/SSIS, Informatica, PL/SQL or T-SQL, MS Excel, Power Point, MS Power BI etc. a plus
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Demonstrates the ability to interact successfully in a dynamic and culturally diverse workplace
- Strong organizational skills (email, task management, follow-up, etc.)
- Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively and independently, delivering on assigned tasks and responsibilities in a timely manner
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing 4-year bachelor’s degree as a rising junior or senior.
- Current GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Basic computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite
Internship Benefits: Summer interns will be eligible to work flexible hours, where your daily working hours will be defined with your direct manager. Interns are eligible for holiday pay for the Fourth of July. Other benefits include free on-site parking, cafeteria, and vehicle detailing services.
